Thoughts From the Sickbed

bloginbedMost of the day I’ve spent here. Going to do an interview tomorrow, so I’ve been preparing that. It has been a while since I last did an interview, but I’m sure it will turn out fine.

I can get quite nervous when I’m interviewing (especially if it is one of my favourite bands), but I try not to let it show. And of course prep as much as possible, so I can ask really interesting questions, which in turn will turn out an interesting read. I hate reading interviews where all the questions already have been answered in previous interviews. I always try to get a new angle. And usually that turns out great – I’ve even gotten compliments from both Camille Jones and The Blue Van for asking interesting questions. Some years ago, I read a book called Klangen af et menneske which translates into something like The Timbre of a Human Being. By far the best book I’ve read about the art of interviewing! Too bad for my international readers that it’s in Danish only. Sorry!
